With a filter volume of approx. 120 litres in one chamber, the pond filter ensures reliable cleaning of larger koi ponds with minimum effort. The pond filter is equipped with a total of 4 coarse filter sponges, 4 fine filter sponges and 2 Japan filter mats. The pond filter is set up on the pond bank and connected to a suitable pond pump (not included in the scope of delivery, note the max. volume capacity of the pond pump). The water is led through the pond filter and cleaned and returned to the pond. Microorganisms settle in the filter materials, which remove germs and bacteria from the water. Suspended matter and dirt remain in the pond filter due to the mechanical filtration and do not return to the pond water. It takes about 4-6 weeks until a sufficient quantity of filter bacteria have settled in the bio-pond filter. Only after this time does it make sense to switch on a UVC pond clarifier. Starter bacteria help to shorten the start-up phase of a new pond filter. Starter bacteria are special microorganisms cultivated in the laboratory, the addition of which can considerably shorten the start-up time of a pond filter. Bacteria are active from a temperature of about 10°-12°C, the temperature in the pond filter should not rise above 40°C, therefore the pond filter should ideally be placed in a shaded area and not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Das Wasser ist Kristalklar. Mehr geht nicht! Und das obwohl die Sonne extrem auf den Teich knallt.
